Basic guide for school students
This is a good guide for UK GCSE or AS level ICT students to quickly get to know the basics of Dreamweaver. Resources for the book can be downloaded from the book's web site.
Nothing on CSS or scripting. After a couple of weeks or so you'll be ready to move onto something a bit more substantial.
The books are lasting quite well after passing through several hands of students!
Dreamweaver, no more dreaming!
The book was surprising in it's detail about Dreamweaver. I first thought that it'd be difficult to capture the essence on A4, and was relieved to find that this had all the answers.
From being a beginner I now feel well versed in all Dreamweaver aspects.
A great read, hard to put down.
Excellent start to creating websites
Excellent step-by-step self-learning book. You'll understand the basics of Dreamweaver and create a website in just a few hours. You can download Dreamweaver from Macromedia (think now Adobe) free for 30 days while you work through the book. It also takes you through setting up a domain and uploading your site AND makes it really simple. You'll need to find out more about CCS and how to use them but there are plenty of online resources. If you want to learn Dreamweaver but don't want to spend hours on a course this is the book for you. I recommend you work through it twice though, and avoid the frames section!
