Product Description

Multiple Choice Questions are the most common method of assessing knowledge in radiology. This book has more than 1000 questions, covering all the essential topics in Gastrointestinal Radiology. The questions have been divided into separate topics, which will enable revising the subjects on a topic basis, with due emphasis on anatomy, techniques and pathology. The questions have been designed on the format used by the Royal College of Radiologists UK, Ireland, Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand. There is a single question with five stems, which require a true or false response. The answers and detailed explanations are provided at the end of each chapter. This book will be a valuable resource for review and practice prior to the Fellowship exams. Bibliographies have been provided for further reading.

Half baked2
A very large question bank which should be a great resource.

There is useful discussion around many of the answers BUT - and it's a very large but - there are a large number of poorly phrased questions and plenty of obvious errors and contradictory answers.

Overall it's a useful resource but very limited by mistakes that should have been ironed out with decent proof reading and corrections prior to publication. If this had been done I would have rated it 5/5 but as is I'd have rather saved my money and waited for the second edition.

(This is a very similar review to those I have written about the other books in the series I own: They all seem marred with the same problems.)

Very annoyed.1
Do NOT buy this series of books.

Why?
1. Poor questions testing very obscure facts.
2. HUGE number of spelling & grammatical mistakes.
3. Wording of questions is obviously very important, but frustratingly poor in these books.

NOT recommended1
Huge number of factual, grammatical and spelling errors, it would appear that neither the author or editor has much of a grasp of the English language. Did anyone bother to proof read this text??

Also, several chapters in the Chest&Cardiovascular book were missing, replaced with chapters from the GU book. Purchase at your peril!
