Dry & Boring
The book is over priced for what it is. Exceptionally dry and unreadable it is a struggle to get through. OK, it is a dry subject but there are many books on this subject (both old & new) that are much easier to read than this tome.
A good example of a revision book.
This book is a good example of a revision text which is easy to understand and formatted clearly. It lists all the poems needed for AQA GCSE English, it outlines them stating about particular techniques and skills used, for reference in the exam. I found this book broke down the poems so they were easier to contrast and compare, I personally have struggled with taking in lots of information and English writing techniques and I feel that this book was written in an easily way, it is formatted clearly and cleanly so that the pages aren't cluttered with lots of writing but still containing the required information. I would therefore recommend this book to anyone studying English and wanting additional support with their exam.
