Synopsis
What's more, you can keep "The Last Turkey in the Shop" by your toilet, where it is guaranteed to brighten up your sit-down visits all year round. A bit.Ask any man what he wants from his wife this Christmas and chances are he'll say a new plasma screen telly, a PS3, or a 4-in-a-bed sex romp with the Girls of the Playboy Mansion. But all those will set her back more than GBP 250.Ask him what he'll probably get off her this Christmas and chances are he'll say the "Viz Annual", as usual. This year's offering, "The Last Turkey in the Shop", has 160 pages packed with the choicest cuts from issues 152-161 of Britain's favourite low-quality adult comic. It features all-time favourites such as "The Fat Slags", "Sid the Sexist", "Mrs Brady the Old Lady", "Biffa Bacon" and "Roger Mellie", as well as hilarious readers' letters, top tips, spoof adverts and articles. Unlike a plasma telly, it won't cost you a fortune in electricity to run. Unlike a PS3, you won't have to buy expensive games to play on it. And unlike a 4-in-a-bed sex romp with a trio of jazz mag centrefolds, it won't leave you with a sense of anticlimax throughout the rest of your life.
Customer Reviews
Fizz
This annual is the cream of many recent issues but without the bothersome ads.
Yes it is peurile and childish but also clever in many places and absolutely hilarious.
Laughter is a good medicine in this stressful age and this book will give you a great psychological workout, I'm sure.
Childish and Ironic
Viz no longer has the impact of the early editions and some of it is pretty pointless but there are still some gems of irony in here such as "Mountains of Terror" and things to remind me of life on Tyneside with "The Fat Slags" and "Sid the Sexist". No loo should be without this.
Viz ~ Still Hilarious
At Christmastime, I always buy a copy of the latest edition of VIZ for my Son and Son-in-Law, who both find it still as hysterical as all the previous editions. Viz ~ keep up the good work.
