Chi isn't your average humanoid computer. She can't do word processing, she can't connect to the net, and she's incapable of interfacing with other persocoms... But, when the hapless, technophobic Hideki rescues her from the scrap heap, and takes her home, he finds that she may be more advanced than her childlike behavior lets on.

One word, SUPERB!!!
One of my friends told me about this and i wasn't sure because it was the first time i've read this sort of manga. All the lovey dovey stuff put me off at first, but now I love reading romance manga and this is the best i've read so far. Its not all sloppy stuff its really funny and sweet in places.
Chobits tells the story about 19 year old Hideki, the technophobe and his persocom (a type of computer in the form of a pretty young girl) called "Chi" which he finds in the trash after work. And how there relationship grows through the 8 volumes till its great ending. *SOB*
I dont want to spoil the story so thats all im telling you about it.
This is a great read, with great art (especially "Chi" shes so cute), and its also really touching in places.
I suggest everyone whos into manga to buy this and the rest of the series, and anyone thinking of starting to start here. The authors CLAMP are great artists let alone great storytellers and this is a great additon to your collection.
Go buy it now, trust me u wont be disappointed, i wasn't :)
Oh and one more thing, buy it here its the best place with the best prices. Well done Amazon keep up the good work ;)
One of the better manga's i've read
This series is an insigtful look into the world of a young boy, who is constantly told that he is a very nice guy, but not the one who get the girl in the end. When he finds Chi, his life suddenly becomes alot more complicated, as he fights not to fall in love with the extremely cute persocom.
The drawing style is what we have come to expect from clamp, very precise and the translation is easy to follow.
This is a very good starting point for anyone who is interested in getting into manga, and is over 16 years (due to some adult content).
CosplayC
This book is truely wonderful, the caracter are griping, the illustration is beautiful and the plot is intriguing and very very funny.
I would recommend it to anyone especially those who are unsure if manga is for them. The animated series did chobits no justice the book is fantastic and volume one is the best of the lot. It had me hook, line, and sinker from the first page! I read the first three books within the day and went out to buy more the next day
Just one word of warning though if you read this series you will forever love chii (but i don't think that's a bad thing).
