Just what I needed for my logon scripts5
This book has helped me to understand VBScripting, I can recommend it for NT administrators to automate their tasks or people who want to spice up their webpage.

Written for beginners

Beginners? Possible3
I was wanting to use this book to help me with a role of clientside VBS at work. As a bonus I had a friend at work who would teach and help me with any problems I may come across.

I started at the weekend but I actually found that it was a little bit quick at getting into the scripting. I did struggle. I have tried to use it at work but found that there were more gaps than there were pointers.

I found that I spent more time looking on the net for help than I did looking at the book. Now the back of the book gives you the usual lists of commands etc so it would be worth it just for that.

Don't get me wrong as there are some excellent chapters - especially those on file management - but if you are a beginner who has never scripted, this book may be harder than you think.

As an overall book it wiould suffice, but in my opinion, as a beginner, it was not as informative as I wanted.

Good book but a bit dry.
Also makes for a very long weekedn and you need to make sure you have the whole weekend and the house to yourself to get serious about learning this topic in one weekend.
Would recommend splitting it up nad doing it over 2 weekends
