Into the mind of a great author
Le Mythe De Sisyphe is one of the greatest philosophies of the 20th century; if you think it will spoil L'etranger think again! It is a challenge to link Camus' ideas on absurdism and suicide into the plot but, if you are intellectual enough, it will bring a whole new meaning to the book. Even if you have not read L'entranger, Sisyphe is a life-changing book. Give it a go is all I can say!
Camus can do but Sartre is Smartre
This is the most dissapointing piece of philosophy ever. After reading L'Etranger, I was excited about reading the philosophy behind it. However, all this book does is raise inconsistencies in not only L'Etranger, but also in Camus' 'Philosophy.' Camus speaks of Don Juan as the model of the absurd man, experiencing life to the fullest, yet in L'Etranger has Mersault laze around. I could go on forever about the inconsistencies, but the important thing is, if you liked L'Etranger, please don't read this. In this case, and only this case, ignorance is bliss.
