Customer Reviews

1 1/2 in the life of Metallica ... 15 in the life of a fan!5
Awesome! DVD 1 is the background to the Black album and DVD 2 is the tour- I was there, were you?
I have had these since they first came out onVHS and have now also got them on DVD as the videos are wearing out: youWILL watch them time and time again. Watch out for Jaymz' sense of humourespecially ripping Axl Rose and constant digs at Lars - very funny! Anabsolutely necessary item for any fan even if, like me, the black album isnot your fave you will still enjoy this. Guaranteed!

A year and a half.4
This is an awsome documentary about metallica from the recording process of the classic black album leading up to their world of touring. It is brilliant for any die hard fan. If you have only started to get into this awesome band then this is not a buy for you, but if you want to see a more in depth view on metallicas life then you will definetly enjoy this. It kicks ass what more can i say?...

IS THIS AVAILABLE ON REGION 2 ???5
I actually have this on VHS - absoluteley love it; GREAT footage, live performances, interviews - and all professionally filmed!
THIS IS NOT ONE OF THOSE DODGY UNLICENSED RELEASES (ahem, Metallimania)!!
I'll have to stick with the grainy VHS as I can't play Region 1, BUT if you have the set up, then trust me: Go for this as it's just as good as Cunning Stunts or S&M.
One of the highlights is the live footage from the Wembley gig 20/04/1992 (Freddie Mercury tribute)- EXCELLENT PERFORMANCE AND FILMING!!
It's criminal that this isn't properly available to the UK :-(
