THE DEFINITIVE GUIDE to Voluntary Work in Nature Conservation

Customer Reviews

Great guide- defintely recommended!5
Obviously if you are looking to buy this guide you are interested in green volunteering, and if that is the case this is the book that you need to buy. Not only is this book straightforward and to the point, it gives you all the relevant information you need to book yourself a volunteering place either in Britain or abroad. The book lists hundreds of volunteering opportunities and has good info about each place such as accomodation, cost and what you will be doing whilst you are there.

I recently brought another book about volunteering called 'volunteering overseas' and that book was dire compared to 'Green Volunteers', it waffled for ages about unrelevant things and most of the volunteering work was solely in America and it just wasn't up to much, thus the reason I had to buy another. So if you are interesting in volunteering and working in the rainforest, tagging turtles in costa rica or even tracking wolves in Russia-this is the book that will help you get there. Another good thing about this book is that it never gets out of date because it gives you the email address, so you can get constantly undated and never have to buy an updated version.

The only bad thing to say about 'Green Volunteer' is that alot of the cost prices for the trips are in dollars and euros, abit annoying but no great tragedy-easy enough to work out.

Hope you find the Guide as useful as I did!

I have done much volunteer work over the years and it was refreshing to find a fairly comprehensive and well researched source of world-wide opportunities.
