Average customer review:Product Description
The result of 20 years of work, this atlas provides detailed surveyed maps and plans produced from one of the most famous World Heritage sites. From the tomb of Tutankhamun to the tomb of the sons of Ramesses II, all of the significant and accessible tombs in the valley are included. In this one-volume study edition, the atlas gives 1:125 plans, sections and three-dimensional isometric drawings of each tomb, along with larger-scale maps of the entire Valley and background information of the Theban Mapping Project and its surveying techniques.

Customer Reviews
Does what it says
If expect this book, 'Atlas of the Valley of the Kings', to be an atlas (i.e. collection of maps/plans) of the Valley of the Kings then you will not be disappointed.
If you expect it to be something quite different, you may well be.
Best guide to the Valley
The three best books on the market are: John Romer Valley of the Kings, The complete Valley of the Kings, and this one. Each deals with the subject from a different perspective.
As you would expect from an atlas, this is just the plans of the tombs, all of the nes that were available for the ;ast 20 years. It shows how they interconnect, miss each other, and how the tombs developed over time.
It us useful to have the Complete book with you, as there cheap edition is short on major details, just the plan and some descritios of what you see on the plan. aying that, I`m using the plans in a class in CAD and finding them uswful for making the drawings.
