Customer Reviews
Excellent Film and Get Down and Groove Sound Track
I Lost the C.D and serached everywhere If you don't see the film but love funky non mainstream classic tracks from the swinging 70's this is a classic buy for all you Roller Girls and Dirk Digglers out there.
You Got The Touch!
Yes, it is on this soundtrack. You Got The Touch, sung by Mark Wahlberg in his character as Dirk Diggler, or should I say Brock Landers (fans of the movie know...).
This hilarious song, written by Michael Penn, who cameos as the producer in the studio, is sung so bad that it's funny. If you are looking for the whole track, look no further. It is hidden after track 13, the instrumental coda Theme from Boogie Nights. You'll know for sure when that track clocks in at a lengthy 9.58. That is because of this extra song. The other bit that Mark Wahlberg did with John C. Reilly on guitar in the movie starts off this album.
The rest of this soundtrack is A-OK. You know, if you saw the movie.
Great Tunes To Fit An Excellent Movie
The movie Boogie Nights is a classic in every sense, one of the reasons is the soundtrack every song had to work to make the scenes worthwhile, and this cd sums up the movie in great style. We should be thankful that they released a second CD that was equally brillant.
