Customer Reviews

A fantastic album of catchy early-indie tunes4
Okay, so we know that the lead singer is Dean out of Big Brother 2, but once the novelty has worn off, does the album measure up? The answer is a big fat yes. Some of the more keen-eared listeners will recognise the catchy 'My head's on fire' (an early single release) whilst others will marvel at the fact that they have managed to write and record a song about saving the whales (Candlesoap) without it sounding too cheesy. Right from the word go, 'Showtime' (including Dean's Tarzan-like screaming during the intro)with its mellow-but-crunchy guitars really starts to get the blood pumping, while later corkers include 'One day the butterfly' (with it's catchy little main riff), 'Dumb Dumb' and 'Spacedog' (with slight tinges of 'Space Oddity'). Honestly, this album is an absolute blinder which deserves to be listened to again and again. Roll on the first release from dean's new band Phony...

Featuring Dean from Big Brother 2 as singer/guitarist/writer3
Seen Dean around the big brother house strumming on his guitar and singing (slightly tunelessly it must be said)? Well, here he is in his full glory with his band.

Well, what can you say? They were good enough to back The The and could be described as being "A bit like the Auteurs"

Hmm. I did catch him strumming a Nick Drake the other day on channel 4, so it can't be all bad.
