Fastway - 'Trick Or Treat' film soundtrack (Sony)
Originally released in 1987. Under-rated movie soundtrack that the critics seemed to have hated - but the fans loved it. The band's fifth 'actual' effort. 'Trick Or Treat' was (according to many) Fastway's last good album. "After Midnight" (a real scorcher), at one time got a fair amount of airplay on the old Z-Rock as well as other hard rock / metal stations. Couple of this disc's other key tracks include the awesome "Tear Down The Walls", "Get Tough" and "If You Couls See". I would still look in record stores bargain bid for this particular title - shouldn't be too hard to locate a copy.
An excellent film with excellent music.
It really is many years since I saw Trick or Treat, but I really can say, that once seen never forgotten. The plot is really easy to get into, but completely unrealistic! Then again aren't all horror films? There are plenty of tense scenes to ensure that the viewers are either on the edge of their seat (or hiding behind it!). As for all the nasty things those boys get up to in school, well, I'm just glad that my school was not like that! The music that accompanies the movie is excellently performed by Fastway. It adds depth to the movie and keeps you hanging on for the next musical interlude! The film is great, although a little dated now, but don't let that put you off. It is certainly worth viewing...again...and again.....and again.
Maybe the best heavy metal album ever
The title of my review says everything. Maybe their next albums were bad to the bone but this one is what people calls Unique. It doesn't matter if you seen the movie or not, this album released the perfect metal era, mid 80s and it's one of the most representative albums of the kind. If humanity send sometime a music album beyond the universe in order to demonstrate out civilization to other worlds this one will be the best for that purpose.
