Synopsis
Dublin's brother-sisters act The Corrs have set themselves apart from the dozens of other Irish pop groups with their innovative blend of pop music and traditional Celtic sound. With songs as beautiful as the pale skinned, dark-haired band members, The Corrs have attracted a large and dedicated U.K. following and are poised to break onto the United States scene. On this release, the Corrs perform at London's infamous Royal Albert Hall, where they go through hits including "So Young" and "What Can I Do." In addition, special guest Mick Fleetwood joins them for a cover of Fleetwood Mac's classic hit, "Dreams."
Customer Reviews
Good music - but not their best
I have to agree with the reviewer below - this performance is a considerable disappointment, and I speak as a hardened Corrs fan. The group seem lost in the large space of the Albert Hall stage, and are simply too static to keep the interest visually. Musically, Andrea's vocals start off well enough, but halfway through she definitely starts to show the strain, she sings off the note and the song endings start to become meandering making you long for the song to finish before things get totally spoilt.
Having said all that, it has good moments. "Dreams" is excellent, as are the instrumentals with Mick Fleetwood, and the early tracks are fine. Still, for me the studio CDs (and the "unplugged" CD) are far superior.
Too Many Distractions but otherwise excellent
As always with the Corrs, this is a fantastic DVD to watch. They simply have fun!
i have just one criticism of the production: Too often there are stray cameramen darting out of view from another camera. Stay still and you are less conspicuous!
Wonderful Corrs
A wonderful DVD. I play in over and over again. The sounds are excellent and the pictures stunning. Go on buy the DVD version.
