A step more challenging.
This is a step further from the first CD in this series, Talk Now!Learn Finnish, though I thought it's more than just 1 step from it. First it seemed impossible to make any sense of it as I couldn't recognize any of the words I learnt in the first of the series, except the numbers. Similar to the first one with quizzes and games, also dictation lessons and own voice recording and some clues to help you give the right answer. Sometimes it's the one clue that can lead you to the correct answer, however the more you listen to it the more you pick up. Again like in the previous CD, there are no explanations to the grammar. It's a bit like learning from a native speaker just by listening to them using gestures, which probably is the fastest way to learn to understand a language. However if you want to speak it correctly as well, make sure you also get a dictionary and a grammar book. I still find it quite entertaining and addictive, as the quizzes are quite funny.
I would certainly recommend this title, though I think I'm still miles away from proficiency after finishing this CD.
Only for hard-working learners with a real interest in this unusual language.

Excellent games and lessons to help you learn the hardest language in Europe. My kids love it, but then they do speak Finnish.
