Good for intermidiate learners
This CD covers most aspects of everyday language including weather, time, animals and phrases. There are 10 activities plus a TV quiz (1 or 2 players), 6 dictation "midis" and a recording studio. The CD also provides an in-depth coverage of intermidiate terms and grammar for learners.
What was best about it were the fun ways for learning, which made it easier for me to absorb the vocabulary including the TV quiz and the recording studio, which made learning a whole lot easier than books. The dictation was good for listening and writing.
What I liked lease was that it did not come with a printable dictionary (unlike the "Talk Now" icelandic CD). This meant that I had to find some words that I did not understand.
Once I finished this CD, I had a full understanding of the language and I felt more confident in all the language skills.
Overall, I would only recommend this CD to people with a good background knowledge of icelandic and not beginners because some areas of the CD are challenging.
I would also purchase this item along with the Talk Now! range of CDs because the Talk Now! icelandic CD because it is good for the World Talk series and it gives the essential words and phrases for the traveller and student of icelandic.
