Sharp Sixties Mod Sounds5
This cd is a must have for all sixties music fans. I can't believe that they didn't make it big. The perfect blend of mod attitude with a real feal for soul/r'n'b should have made them the chart equals of the who, small faces, yardbirds etc. Plus... they were produced by George Martin !!! Reg King's voice is fantastic on the classic number one that never was "I'll Keep On Holding" and the rest of the tracks follow suit especially my favourites "Hey Sha Lo Ney" and a cool mod version of "Land Of A Thosand Dances". Do Yourself a BIG favour and add this to your cd collection

the mods MOD band5
THE ACTION ....PHIL COLLINS of genesis favourite band of the 60's , but don't hold that against them .... Here the action cover such classic motown tracks such as , i'll keep on holding on , harlem shuffle and the classic 60's dancer , land of 1000 dances . We all have heard about mod bands THE WHO , YARDBIRDS etc ...BUT if you want to hear the mods mod band of the 60's then choose THE ACTION ....you know it makes sense .

Classic British Soul/Pop Crossover5
A brillant collection of 'white soul' and powerpop with a distinctly British feel from the criminally-overlooked Action. Contains some belting tracks - my personal favourite being 'Shadows & Reflections' which, in my humble opinion, is a brillantly atmospheric anthem - why this didn't top the charts at the time of its release is a crying mystery. Yes a Mod band, but their melodic tune should appeal to anyone with a taste for soul-inspired pop, so don't let the Mod label put you off. One of the best British bands of the 60s, definetely better that their counterparts like The Who. Do yourself a massive favour - add this to your collection!
