Sings Stardust And His Other Great Compositions

Hoagy sings his songs. Good to hear the composer singing although he does not have a very good voice. Disappointed he whistled in "Stardust".

This is one of the best recordings of the wonderful Hoagy - other people may have sung (and in all honesty probably did) his songs better than he did - but the simplicity and lack of artifice is refreshing and a delight. Not only that, nearly every one of the 23 songs on the CD is famous and many people, my sons included, were/are astonished that all these were written by this one piano playing lawyer! I was brought up on them - and feel very privileged. an excellent CD
