Product Description

Grand Theft Auto 3 for the Game Boy Advance lets you explore the fully realised universe that is Liberty City and complete gangland missions. You can steal any car you see, from sports cars to taxis, or even boats. There are more than a dozen ways to take out other characters, including by fist fighting and using a baseball bat, handgun, Uzi, rocket launcher or Molotov cocktail. The game world has unpredictable weather, a variety of pedestrian types who act in unique ways, changing times of day and night and a multi-tiered, fully corrupt police force. The revenge plot offers strong story elements balanced with the game's non-linear freedom of movement.

Manufacturer's Description
It was supposed to be the last job you and Vinnie would do for the mob. After this, you'd both have enough money to escape Liberty City for good. Then Vinnie's getaway car went up in a ball of flames, along with all the cash. Suddenly every cop in the city is chasing you down. You're determined to get out of Liberty City, but not before you find Vinnie's murderers and turn the tables on whomever it is that's out to get you. The series that took the console world by storm is set to repeat history on handheld this fall. The freedom and open ended gameplay a that are synonymous with Grand Theft Auto are coming to Game Boy Advance.

Listen up GTA fans...2
OK so I love GTA as much as the next person, I've spent a good part of the last few years wired up to my ps2 trying to complete the lastest installments - so I do know a bit of what I'm talking about, and GTA for the GBA is really NOT what you want. OK, so its on the GBA and maybe you dont expect much, but what you DO expect is the same vibe and storyline that has been around since the dawn of the very Grand Theft Auto. This is a shoddy excuse for a game, the dodgy graphics dont make this a bad game alone, its mostly down to the lousy storyline. You don't need a powerful games console to have a good story that keeps you hooked - so these guys really have no excuse.

GTA Addict as I am I eagerly waited for this game, to bide the time when I was away from GTASA, it's very similar to the original game with a birds eye perspective and simple but surprisingly detailed graphics.

The difficulty curve is very high though - most of the time you will complete missions etc without a clue as to how you have done it - the car controls aren't very responsive and are sometimes frustrating - which can be a pain as explosive swearing attacks aren't terribly endearing in public....

If you want something to do on the train, bus etc. and are addicted to GTA then you will enjoy it, but if not I don't think it would be for you.

GTA Advance (gba)4
GTA advance is a great game. A lot like the original GTA and GTA 2. It plays by birds-eye view. There are loads of great missions, including taxi, racing, ambulance, police etc. and the normal missions. This GTA does not have all the new gta features. It has a small variety of cars and tanks, but does not have motorbikes or any planes etc. Like the original GTA's you sink and die in water.
I highly recommend this game for GTA fans though, its a great pass time, hopefully they will make a 3d version soon - a bit like driver 2.
