Editorial Reviews

Amazon.co.uk Review
The Matrix Revisited is a two-hour documentary that covers each and every aspect of the making of this ground-breaking movie in enough detail to satisfy even the most demanding of fans. There are contributions from all the principal cast and crew, who guide us from the story's inception in the minds of the Wachowski brothers right through to the preparatory work for the next two instalments. Also on the disc are: a teaser montage of behind-the-scenes footage for the follow-up movies, a section on the newly commissioned Japanimation "Animatrix" features, fight choreographer Yuen Wo Ping's blocking tapes, a piece about the fans, a breakdown of the bathroom fight and wet-wall sequence, a plug for the Web site and DVD-ROM extras. If that's not enough, there are even hidden extra "Easter eggs", including one about the woman in the red dress. Plenty, in fact, to keep fans satisfied until the second instalment arrives in cinemas. --Mark Walker

So that is what the Matrix is.....5
This is an interesting bit of info-tainment offering a behind the scenes look at the making of The Matrix.

Interestingly we find out why Keanu Reeves does'nt do much kicking in the first movie, due to major surgery on his neck. There is also a shot were Carrie Ann Moss almost break her ankle whist practising her runing up the wall routine "OUCH".

There are a few bits of info regarding the sequals, but apart from that this is pretty much a 2 hour version of what we all got on the Matrix DVD movie.

Is it worth the £12.99 price tag !!! Well if your a fan of the Matrix it probably is. If you don't have the film then get the twin pack as it is a lot better value.

The Matrix 2 & 3 are due in 2003 and each film will be released on DVD as a twin pack just 3 months after they hit the big screen.

One good point revealed on the "Revisited" DVD is that the story was originally written as a trilogy. This should mean that the story wont fall apart at the seams like in most "Sequals". And as Keanu Reeves rarely does any kind of sequal for a film he is in, at least we know he likes the story......or the pay packet he'll be getting.

A Must For All Fans Of The 1998 Masterpice!!4
This is the must have companion to the Matrix!

When I bought the original film on DVD I was quite dissapointed that a film so great that must have took so much effort to make did not come with many extra features. However this little gem has been solely created to give any hardcore fan of The Matrix those exact features!

At just over 2hours long you might say that the making of documentary is quite leanghty-you would be right too! However it does go into every detail immaginal and opens up the whole idea behind the Matrix and how the Wachowski brothers created their vision of the future!

Packed with loads of other features which include the awsome original theatrical trailer, Blocking tapes of the martial arts trainer who worked on the film and an exclusive sneak peak at the training sessions of Matrix 2&3 which if you look at closely you can actually get a glimpse of Trinity's new leather outfit ;-)

Brilliant-A welcomed edition to my DVD collection!
