Amazon.co.uk Review
Translating Rowan Atkinson's Mr Bean character from British television to the big screen takes a bit of a toll, but there are some hilarious sequences in this popular comedy. The eponymous Bean, a boy-man twit with a knack for getting into difficult binds (and then making them worse and worse and worse), is a London museum guard who is sent to Los Angeles in the company of the famous painting Whistler's Mother. He's mistaken as an art expert by the well-meaning curator (Peter MacNicol) of an LA museum, but Bean's famously eccentric behaviour soon causes the poor guy to almost lose his family and job. The insularity of Bean's TV world is sacrificed in this film, and that change diminishes some of the character's appeal. But Atkinson is a man naturally full of comedy, and he doesn't let his fans down. --Tom Keogh

Synopsis
In his big-screen debut, the bumbling, barely verbal Mr. Bean lands in Los Angeles, where he has been sent to "guard" Whistler's Mother as it changes hands between the London National Art Gallery and a chic private gallery. Absurd laughs from the hilarious Atkinson.
Customer Reviews
Not too bad really!
I have always been a fan of the TV series of "Mr Bean" and only saw this film recently and was not disappointed by it.
This film does start off quite slowly and I was tempted to turn off half way through but I decided to stick with it and watch it until the end, and was pleased I did!
Certainly a good film to watch with the family, but not the sort you can watch time and time again.
If you want a nice gentle comedy that you can watch occasionally, be sure to buy this DVD to add to your library.
Hilarious!
I have to say, i am so glad they bought a full length movie out with Rowan Atkinson. As usual, he is quite funny in this movie. It's rather different to the TV series, obviously because those were not movies. But this is well worth watching, it is a definate family movie! Hilarious/fun/superb!
Best Film Ever!
I really love this film! My best friend and I always watch it and are still laughing ages after! It's hard to pick a favourite part becuase there are so many hilarious features but defiantely watch out for the part when Bean uses Whistlers Mother as a trolley! Classic!
