Early Avengers Classics!4
These episodes date from around 1965/1966. Hugely popular in its day, some episodes look rather dated now. However, what I like about this particular box set is that there are seven episodes rather than the usual six. By far, the best episode is Too Many Christmas Trees, followed by The Girl From Auntie and The House That Jack Built. Picture is very good, but dont expect home cinema sound since it is in mono. However, sound is acceptable. Am sure die-hard Avenger fans will buy this anyway.

One of the best...5
I am fairly sparing with my five star reviews but the quality of TV is remarkable on these seven episodes. There is a real rapport (some might say sexual chemistry) between Steed and Mrs Peel and this has a number of out and out classics; too many Christmas Trees and The House that Jack Built being only the two most obvious. Superbly scripted, with a fantastic plot and fabulous acting, this really is the cream of '60's TV.
