Amazon.co.uk Review
At the risk of offending hard core yogaphiles who disapproved of Geri Halliwell's common touch, it's difficult to sneer at Geri Body Yoga--the follow-up to her first yoga offering.
Every detail, from the ace location in California to clear simple instructions by teacher Katy Appleton, makes for an exceptional quality production. Thankfully, this time round the incessant Geri-babbling is limited, though there is considerable cheeky flirting with the camera. Still, Geri's body looks far from painfully thin, and it's reassuring to see a star who isn't flaunting a surgically-enhanced cleavage.
The graceful Appleton, a former dancer, deftly combines demonstrating and correcting Geri. Beginner Nate in the background looks like the production runner who was dragged in at the last minute, but doesn't do too badly. Despite excellent camera angles and seamless editing that make the routine easy to follow, this isn't yoga for total beginners. Instead of a slow start, Appleton kicks in with a more interesting warm-up than usual. The all-round yoga session moves onto an energetic Sun and Moon section, the mentally challenging Strength, the intense Bliss, and the final Chill. Appleton takes a classic approach and adapts it to appeal to fast urban living. The added Geri factor makes this ideal yoga for the Heat magazine reader.
On the DVD: Geri Body Yoga on disc has a 14-minute location film which takes us from Geri's West Hollywood apartment to behind the scenes of the filming with producer/director Steve Kemsley. The transformation of Cloudy Malibu in California, from a simple location to a spa style makes great viewing. The DVD also enables you to customise your own yoga session if you don't have time to do the full 90-minute session. --Lorna V

Synopsis
Once lampooned as being the chubbiest of the Spice Girls, Geri Halliwell is now in the shape of her life. Here she teams up with yoga expert Katy Appleton to produce a fitness workout (which she has modestly called GERIBODY) that aims to transform mind, body and spirit.
Customer Reviews
This sequel is better than the original!!!
So, you bought the first video and thought this would be more of the same? Right? Wrong!!!
This DVD is much easier to follow, so much so that anyone really can do it! Katy takes us through all the poses gradually and there is more guidance than with the first DVD. This is made possible by the substantial reduction in chit chat from Geri.
This time Katy & Geri are joined by a beginner called "Nate", who actually shows us alternatives if we can't quite make the pose, or wish to gradually move into it. This is vastly different from the first, where the beginner appeared to be constantly in "Pose of a Child", and often poses were done without showing us how they got there.
It is great to see that even Geri still has some difficulty. It offers us beginners a little hope. The DVD was filmed outdoors and the location is an added bonus. The relaxation section has improved with some shots of the scenery and a voice-over from Katy which is soothing.
The DVD also has a very handy little feature, which allows you to select the routine you want to do by selecting various chapters to run in sequence. Fantastic!
I will use this DVD again and again, along with my other yoga DVDs.
Fantastic First Yoga DVD!!
This is the first Yoga DVD I have bought, so am unable to compare to others. However having not done Yoga before I found this DVD very easy to follow, Katy Appleton's descriptions and timing are perfect, giving plenty of time to understand and get to grips with the poses. Also I feel I can progress with the workout, because it describes beginners yoga through to advanced I will be able to use this and progress to an advanced level (in time!) I felt so good after my workout that I did want to do it regularly, Katy is such a good teacher I would be loath to buy a Yoga workout that she wasn't teaching!!
Best ever yoga DVD.
I have been a yoga devotee for a year and this is the best that I have seen. Katy Appleton gives instructions that are clear and non-patronising. The excercises feel as though they are easy to do and there is no confusing technical jargon. The warm up is perfect for the excercises that follow. It helps to clear the mind which is essential for a good practice. The excercises that follow are quite demanding and leave you feeling energised and refreshed. You are given beginners and an advanced poses. This DVD is a great stress buster! The end of the practice is devoted to relaxation and I have found the relaxation far superior to any other DVD. I would recommend this to anybody
