Classic British comedy5
I remember 'Some mothers' from my childhood with fond memories, and whilst some of the slapstick humuor has tired with age (probably I'm turning into a miserable old git), it's still classic British comedy that's raised more than the odd smile.

Obviously this is a personal opinion, and there may be some others who detest this style of humour, but one episode on Series 2 (Public relations) made me cry with laughter the other day. Nothing has done that for quite a while, and for that reason, it's getting five stars.

I Love It5
I'm only 18 so I'm not really old enough to have watched it when it was originally on TV. However, I saw a few episodes on UK Gold and I was hooked. It was and is the funniest show I have ever seen! I was so pleased to see that this box set was available with every single episode on it and I had to buy it. Every single episode that I have seen has left me in stitches. The fact that they are quite old makes it even funnier!

Buy it, it is better than any comedy around today.

"Oooh, Betty........!"5
I always remembered the theme tune for this show from my youth (more than a few years ago!) and it indicated around 30 minutes of hilarity on many a rainy Saturday afternoon. The hilarious Michael Crawford as Frank Spencer getting into many a scrape, along with the forgiving nature of his long-suffering wife. Divorce obviously didn't exist in the 70's! I recommend this to everybody - comedy for kids through to adults - good value as well for all three series. Get this in for a rainy day because it will seriously cheer you up.
