Was it just a bad night?2
I went to see Sexie in Newcastle just before Christmas. I was a little disappointed to see that the DVD had been released before the end of the tour, but I was confident that Eddie and his team knew what they were doing. I didn't watch it before the gig, because I didn't want to know the material as I thought it would spoil the show.

The gig was just the funniest night of my laugh, Eddie was on top form and his humour was just as quick, perceptive, self-deprocating and funny as it always has been. The Telewest Arena was rocking, thousands of people were just about crying with laughter.

Then I got the DVD. Oh dear. Was it the same show? Well the material was the same, if a little less well developed, but the cutting edge and the laughs were missing. And the audience!! Were they all dead? I know Eastbourne has a reputation for being a retirement town, but did they really sell tickets just to the over 80's?!

I'm not someone who thinks that this serves him right for rushing to get the DVD out in time for Christmas, but in hindsight, it would have been much better to record a show towards the end of the tour, and perhaps one with a larger more lively (should that be alive) audience. In future maybe there will be cameras at a few of the gigs, so that Eddie can release a DVD that does him justice.

this is great (in my mind!!!!)2
sorry eddie, me and my mates are like your biggest fans, a night down the pub hasn't gone by for the last 6 or 7 years without one of your lines popping out of of one of our mouths. So i was waiting with baited breath for some new material (!!) but i was sorely dissapointed. barr the "in my mind" comment and the "nibblies" sketch this is poor, very poor. I did give it a second and third chance but it just isn't good. I thought maybe I was losing my sense of humour but i have since watched the Peter Kay one and the ricky gervais one I have seen both of them loads of times now and i laugh probably more each time i see them.
I think Eddie might be too into his american lifestyle now or concentrating on his acting too much or maybe he's used up all his material. I hope that this isn't true, cos he is still a genius but if he releases another DVD like this his status will start to diminish.

Not his best but certainly not bad!!4
This one gets funnier and funnier each time you watch it, so don't just write it off the first time you see it. But i have to agree it is no where near as funny as definate article, glorious or d2k.
