Buy one of these before buying any jewerly
A great eyeglass magnifier that I recommend to anyone about to buy jewerly.

The body is made of plastic and the glass provides 3 1/2 times magnification.

Inexpensive piece of kit.

Draper 21569 Jewellers Eyeglass
Does the job perfectly. I think anyone who needs to see small print and objects cannot go wrong with this product. I wear bifocal glasses but even they are not good enough to see small detail. I highly recommend this product if you need to tackle fiddly jobs like tightening screws on glasses. Because it fits into the eye socket you are 'hands free' to do whatever the job requires.

Draper Eyeglass
This `Draper Eyeglass' is an inexpensive tool for home hobbyists or those interested in jewellery. I use these every day at work, in various focal lengths, and I have always found the lens' to be distortion free which is imperative if you are to be using them for prolonged periods. The lens also doesn't steam up that quickly compared to more poorly made ones on the market, although a quick wave in the air will clear any that does arise. By all means use this before you buy jewellery, as the other reviewer notes, but make sure you know what you are talking about before you point out any perceived problems with the stone or settings otherwise you could embarrass yourself and the sales assistant. A final note is to never share your eyeglass, that is the quickest way to get an eye infection and is not very nice at all. All in all this is a cheap but well made eyeglass for home or professional requirements.
