Amazon.co.uk Review
With Abba Agnetha Faltskog sold more records in her life than most artists could ever dream of. My Colouring Book didn't start life as an album; it was inspired by a scrapbook hobby that grew into a passion for the 1960s. Don't expect Abba-esque floor-fillers or pub-band crowd pleasers. Faltskog has taken, for the most part, less popular songs of the period and injected them with an ambience that could only come from a deep knowledge and understanding of the music, fashion and style of the 60s. Her voice sounds stronger and crisper than ever; this, combined with a mountain of grandiose string arrangements, makes for a strangely epic journey of easy listening.
"Love Me With All Your Heart" is filled with bombast and sugary-sweetness, drawing comparisons to the late, great Dusty Springfield. The sadly over-covered "Fly Me to the Moon" thankfully keeps the jazz vibe to a minimum, sticking to the big strings, guitar and vocal arrangement that dominates the whole feel of the album. My Colouring Book could easily have been rubbish, ploughing through a catalogue of songs that have been abused too many times, yet Faltskog manages to pull it off with style, grace and elegance. --David Trueman
CD Description
The first studio recording from the former Abba singer since 1987's 'I Stand Alone'. The album is primarily acoustic folk-pop but with orchestral and piano accompaniment. These additional instruments combined with Agnetha's co-production, give the album a unique and crafted sound.

Welcome Return From Exceptional Singer
Just a couple of weeks ago I was rudely reminded it was 30 years since Abba won the Eurovision song contest...an event I recall clearly as I was 10 years old and for the first time wanted a country other than the UK to win the contest.
Watching as a child that night I was transfixed by Agnetha Faltskog's look and voice. I was an Abba fan from that night on and have remained a fan ever since, although the member of Abba who I admired the most was Agnetha.
Agnetha hasn't had the easiest of times since Abba broke up in 1982 however one suspects that recording this album, which is full of her interpretations of songs she remembers listening to herself as a child in the 60s, was a joyous and dare I say it, therapeutic experience for her.
Agnetha's voice is still as clear, poignant and expressive as ever and I felt quite emotional hearing her sing again after so long.
The highlights of this album for me are the single "If I Thought You'd Ever Change", "What Now My Love" and "Past Present and Future".
Some may dismiss her cover of the Shangri-La's classic as cheesy but for me it is the most emotional track on the album. Although the vocal is spoken, the lyrics could almost have been written for her. I found it quite heartbreaking listening to her perform the song but it resonates with optimism too.
A lot of the songs might easily be dismissed as easy listening but Agnetha's voice adds that something special which makes her version of "Fly Me To The Moon" more than just a cover version...care and thought has gone into her interpretations, which show just how intelligent a singer and musician she is.
To sum up, this album was well worth the wait...it is a marvellous concept for her return and she certainly doesn't disappoint.
I hope that this album reminds people of just how talented this lady is and I wish her well with it and would like to thank her for once again sharing her extraordinary voice with the world.
The CD for Old Romantics
I shall be playing Agnetha's new CD 24/7 for a long time! For an old romantic like me it brings tears to my eyes to hear these wonderful classic songs in Agnetha's voice, sometimes so plaintive, sometimes so lyrical but always so controlled and always so different from the "Waterloo" era. Little though I know of her life after Abba, only that she was something of a sad recluse, true or not, the theme of the album is sadness for things past, unhappy loves, but sung with such feeling that I cannot imagine that she has not loved and suffered through these songs herself. A true classic album that will be played for ever.
My Colouring Book, My Favourite Album!
This album is a welcome return for Agnetha after 17 absent years. Abeautiful, haunting sound that cries "listen to this record again andagain" after each play. The album begins with the beautifully composedtitle track complete with country tinges and ends with a spell binding andawesome rock rendition of the classic "What Now My Love". (My overallfavourite on the CD). In between are such classics as "The End of theWorld" "Sealed with a Kiss" and a fabulous modern version with atraditional flavour of "When You Walk In The Room."
13 great songs that enrich the heart and let's one appreciate theprofessional and pure sound of Agnetha's instantly recognisable voice. Ionly hope we don't have to wait another 17 years to hear more from thisAbba star, although, I believe that this album is evidence enough thatthere is for this beautiful woman, definetely life after mega-stardom.Enjoy!
