Fantastic5
Many thanks to Amazon for still being able to supply this wonderful Limited Edition 10 DVD set with Figurine and Collector's Book.
For any Matrix fan it is the ultimate gift containing 10 DVDs with over 35 hours of bonus material. An absolutely breathtaking set complete with complimentary collectable booklet and painted bust.
Best of all is the presentation. The collection is housed in its own, absolutely stunning, Perspex display case. On looks alone the standard collection fades into insignificance.
If you love the Matrix then this comes highly recommended and I am sure it will be highly collectable.

BRING ON THE BULLET TIME5
By the looks of this, the ultimate matrix collection is sure to be one of the hottest dvds around this christmas. As an extra bonus for this limited edition it comes in a brilliant cd rack type of case and includes a big neo figurine and a collectors book which is unavailable in the regular edition. Considering what you are getting, this is a real bargin. If you think that if you bought the matrix, M.reloaded,M.revolutions and the animatrix separately it would come up to about £40-£50. Also, in this 10-DISC edition you are getting roughly double the amount of viewing possibilites as there is about 25 hours of coverage overall. As I said, this is almost guaranteed to be a massive hit at christmas and is a must for any die hard fan or any really who enjoys watching Neo biting the bullet again and again. Finally, a bit of advice, do not buy the regular version, you will be better off paying £12 more and getting a rather large figurine, and 80 page collectors book and a much more secure case (or box) to look after it all

A five star experience.5
forget what you've been told, or what you've heard. People who trashed the two sequels most probably a) did'nt get them or b) did'nt give it a chance.

What you get here is a great 10 disk set which features; a new transfer of 'The Matrix',and the sequels 'The Matrix-Reloaded'and 'Revolutions' the complete 'Animatrix' (9 short films created by the best animators in the world which explore the past, present and future of the Matrix) and 6 disks of special features totalling around 35 hours of informative and interesting features covering all aspects of the films.

Also included is one of he most ballsy moves ever performed by a movie company, they have one set of commentarys performed by 2 philoshephers who liked the films and they delve into the deep meanings of the story, and one set of commentarys performed by critics who hated the films, which is very interesting (to here one of americas top critics reason for hating the film because it is 'to green'!?).

The films themselves are at 1st glance a mixed bag, you have 'The Matix' which was innovative at the time and also revolutionised cinema as we know it, but under the glossy finish lied an actual great film which will make you question life itself.

then the sequels Reloaded at first, will strap you to you're chair and amaze you if only with its awe-inspiring action scenes (the best I have ever scene, just for the action scenes the film is an instant 5*. And it leads you straight into revolutions, which is in my view an epic struggle for human survival against an unstoppable foe and it escalates into an almost biblical struggle for exsistence. A great ending which tore up the text book and upset alot of people but in the end makes sense. And after you have gathered you're senses you can explore more with the animatrix.

All in all no matter what the critics say the trilogy (viewed as a whole) is mind blowing, and up there with the likes of star wars, and Lord of the Rings (no hate mail please)

A definite must have!
