Customer Reviews

Excellent - much better than other MSTS routes in this area5
This is a lovely route set in the 70s, with lots and lots of varied track, from dense routes in the city to rural and branch lines.

The network is extensive, including Charing Cross, Cannon Street and London bridge to Crystal Palace, Redhill, Caterham, Oxted - East Grinstead / Uckfield, Bromley North, Orpington - Tonbridge - Tunbridge Wells, and Redhill to Tonbridge. I've had plenty of dips into this route and still haven't seen a fraction of the total track.

The CD has lots of lovely trains to drive, all with wonderful sounds and cabviews. For freight activities there's lovely Class 33 Diesel and Class 71 Electric Locos. There's an absolutely vast selection of passenger trains - presumably must include everything that you could have seen on these services during the seventies!

The fifteen activites supplied show off different aspects of the route very well, and give ample opportunity to try out the different trains.

The scenery is lovely, if other commercial routes in the SE have left you a bit disappointed by being a bit sparse, this one won't.

If anyone is interested in the southeast railways, then it does not come better than this. It is set in the 70s era so all stock is from the 70s. So if you want to drive any modern stock you have to edit the activities to include them. I found this to be the best addon I have ever seen, landscape is varied and not flat. The rails look very realistic. You can go out of London and into Kent or go into London from Kent. Driving through London is amazing with all the buildings they have reproduced. If you want anymore information then look at the "Making Tracks" website.

London and South East4
What can be said about this route? it is definantly 1 of the finest commercial add-ons to microsoft train simulator, the rolling stock and route are light years ahead of the stuff Microsoft had made for Britain. The scenery is so good around London (watch out for Tower Bridge).

And to top it all off if you register you can get a months free unlimited access to 1 of the leading download sites to get more stuff to run on the route (or even new routes to go alongside this one). Buy it now, you wont regret it.
