Good brush
I bought this as my DC18 didn't come with many attachments. It seems to be pretty good at getting some of the tougher stains. The strong, plastic bristles seem pretty hard wearing. Would recommend.

Extremely useful attachment
This brush is very efective at cleaning stairs and upholstery. Any ingrained dust can be removed with a small amount of effort. If you have an upright I would recommend it, if you don't then it probably won't be that useful. The bristles are very good at picking up pet hair. One of the problems I have with it is that it doesn't fit perfectly into the tube, after a while it starts to wobble out. Also the price is a little high, after all it's only a piece of plastic.

I purchased this brush as a add-on for the Dyson DC23 cleaner, it was mainly for use when cleaning the car interior, it works very well on the seats & carpets.
