Titanic revisited
This great 2-disc dvd set made in conjunction with The Discovery Channel revisits the Titanic once again with never-seen-before footage and untold stories from survivors.
Disc 1 - Untold Stories (52mins) covers survivor accounts using original black & white photos of individuals, reconstruction of events pertaining to that particular individual and where they were and what they were doing when the Titanic started to founder. Dive with Nautile to the wreck site and visit the Titanic with chrystal clear video footage and learn how the crew dealing with the 3,500 sacks of mail were the first to perish.
Disc 2 - Last Mysteries of the Titanic (88mins) Follow Titanic Director James Cameron as he makes his final dive to the wreck site in 2005. Here, James will take you deep into parts of the Titanic that has never been explored. See State rooms, the Marconi Radio room, the Turkish Baths with their well preserved wall tiles. See the Strauss' room and the clock that still sits on the mantel after 93 years...
This is a double-disc set that you must buy if you are interested in the Titanic. I pre-ordered this and I was glued to my tv when it arrived. The quality of footage is second-to-none and is something you can watch over and over again.
Titanic memories
First of all i woould like to say how pleased i was with the service from amazon as i received this dvd way befre the specified time. Last mysteries of the titanic is a must have for any titanic enthusiast and shows just how the once great beautiful liner is slowly been taken away from us by the ocean. James Cameron shows us the Titanic as only he can. His excitement as he finds the incredibly preserved turkish baths and the Straus's room makes you feel like youre present with him discovering what the great ship wishes to reveal to us. This documentry is the best documentry ive seen on the Tinanic explorations and James cameron is generaly fasinated by the Titanic which allows him to try harder and harder to go deeper and further through the ship. This documentry tells us that this is the last times James Cameron goes down to The Titanic as it wraps up his 10 year Titanic exploration/movie etc. I hope so much that he changes his mind as also he mentions that more still needs to be done/explored as more can still be revieled. Titanic doesnt have many years left so i hope James Cameron does get tempted and therfore continues to go even deeper into the ship going into more rooms and possibly the pool and other areas as he tells the story with more emotion/excitement then anyone else( i think). Once again if you want the best exploration documentry on the titanic purchase this dvd.
Untold stories is also good
Untold stories very disappointing for true Titanic fans...
The Last Mysteries of the Titanic DVD is very interesting as you follow film director James Cameron down on his last dive to the world most famous ship, and entering the Marconi room and legendary Turkish Bath is really moving...
But the second DVD called Untold Stories is very disappointing with no footage of the great liner that any Titanic fan has not seen before, a cheap reconstruction of the last moments of the ship...not at all what I expected from the title...
I have received this morning another DVD called Liners - Maiden Voyage, where the Titanic is mentioned amongst many other liners as the story starts in the 1830's, the footage - including rare movies as early as the Great Eastern in the 1850's - is just stunning making it a must for any serious Titanic fans...
