Customer Reviews

No On/Off Switch5
I agree with everything in the review by M Sharp but one further point to note is that there is no ON/OFF switch so it has to be switched off at the mains.
This may be a problem for some but it's a minor inconvenience when you're getting a 300Gb super fast drive for under £90!

Neat and Cheap5
My option is to leave it on all the time. Dead easy to install and up and running immediately. Hide it under the desk so that if your computer gets stolen (or breaks) you have all the data backed up. It is impressively fast as well. I've had that niggling notion for some time that I need to backup key data but it always seemed a little too complicated or too expensive. This is the solution! Some people might want a little more guidance and the supporting website was down today but you don't need either and this will bring you peace of mind.

Ease of install5
A neat package. I have this under my desk plugged into my hub. I can't even tell its on as it is so quiet. Only the light on the front gives it away.

Time to install:

Unwrapping - 5 minutes
Plug in power and USB cable - < 1 minute
Laptop (XP/SP2) recognised it instantly.

The toughest job was getting it out of the box!

My XP system recognised it as an NTFS drive straight away. No format was required.

Formatted NTFS capacity on my drive = 300,082,855,936 Bytes (279GB).

I dumped 4.5GB onto it whilst I wrote this review, so it seems fast enough to me.
