Amazon.co.uk Review
In a nutshell:
The ultimate evolution of virtual pet: Nintendogs gives you opportunity to preen and look after a selection of cute puppies in a virtual home, with virtual currency, where you can buy toys and accessories for their enjoyment. You can clean the pups, feed them, walk them, play catch with them, and even talk to them.
The lowdown:
Nintendogs is brimming with character. Each pup looks out from the DS touchscreen and paws longingly. You can respond to your virtual pet's need of attention by stroking the screen, using items such as balls and brushes with the aid of the stylus, and talking to your dogs through the DS's inbuilt microphone system. Impressive 3D graphics give lifelike animation to these canine wonders.
Most exciting moment:
After a few attempts to speak commands into the microphone, your puppy understands the meaning of "sit", barks approval, and sits down. It's good to talk.
Since you ask:
You can keep three pups in your home at any time. When left to their own devices, they'll play and play-fight together. And they call this 'puppy love'.
The bottom line:
A Nintendog is not just for Christmas.

Manufacturer's Description
With an initial choice of six breeds to own and a further 14 to be unlocked, Nintendogs Dalmatian & Friends Edition sees the previously hard-to-unlock Dalmatian amongst the initial choices, along with the most popular dogs from the previous versions - Dachshund & Friends, Labrador & Friends and Chihuahua & Friends. If you've missed out on the handheld phenomenon of the year so far or have just been as yet unable to unlock your very own spotted puppy, Nintendogs Dalmatian & Friends is the companion for you.
Just as cute as ever, Nintendogs Dalmatian & Friends also features all the fantastic 'touch' and 'talk' elements of the original series. Players get to purchase their favourite puppy, making sure it is fed, walked, cleaned, played with and taught various tricks and commands using the Nintendo DS's touch screen and microphone.
Once players have trained their puppy, they can enroll their dog into competitions to show off their new talents and earn prize money. Three different types of competition are available: an obedience trial, a frisbee-catching contest and an obstacle course. With the competition earnings, players can purchase food, toys and accessories for their puppy.
The Nintendo DS's Wi-Fi functionality also allows players to share their adorable new Dalmatian with friends through 'Bark Mode'. Interacting with another puppy automatically unlocks that breed in another players version of Nintendogs, giving players the chance to share this rare new puppy with friends.
In 'Bark Mode', owners search for other Nintendo DS's running in the same mode using the console's built in wireless connection. If another console is discovered, the DS will emit a 'barking' noise, alerting owners that a playmate has been found. Both players then exchange contact cards, allowing them to interact with each others puppies and give exciting gifts if they wish to. With the phenomenal success of Nintendogs across Europe, owners shouldn't have any trouble finding someone to meet in 'Bark Mode'!

A must for dog lovers
This is the first game I got for my new DS and I am really glad I got it.
I was attracted by the cute puppy pictures, but am glad to say that the game play didn't disappoint. I was really impressed that you could teach your dog voice commands and make what you want out of the game.
A really good game for animal lovers and really easy to pick up on those quiet moment, even if you only have 10 mins.
Dalmation - a great addition to Nintendogs!
This is a great addition to the Nintendogs group! And don't worry, you can still connect with people who have the other versions of Nintendogs.
Is basiclly the same game but with the cutest breed as one of the starting breeds. The other starting breeds are Boxer, German Shepherd, Golden Retriever, Yorkshire Terrier and Beagle. You then can unlock a further 12 breeds through training points and 2 breeds through finding items on a walk, Jack Russell Terrier (item: Jack Russell's Book) and Shiba Inu (item: Japanese Collar).
Initial room design of the flat is 'Early American'. In the room design shop at the begining there is The Northern European Style, Designer's Mansion and Japanese-style Room. There are 3 hidden rooms.
There is one item available from the begining, the firemans hat. There are well over 100 items for you to collect and buy.
I think this is a perfect pal for a Nintendo DS or a Nintendo DS Lite. I would give it 10/10 every time!
Best game in the world
This is the best game I have ever played. It is fun and the graphics are really good. You can have eight dogs at one time and you have to feed them, play with them and teach them tricks. You can enter competitions including disc competitions, agility trials and the rather hard Obedience trials. You can go on walks and you get presents and you can meet other dogs and also train your dogs for disc throwing at the park and train for agility trials at the Gym. I like connecting with my friends on bark mode. You can put accsesories on your dogs. My dogs are, Patch (the beagle) Spot (Dalmation) Ollie (Sheltie) May ( Boxer) Pebbles ( Sheltie)
