Easy and quick. Quicker with this trick
The thermometer is extremely simple to use, and fairly quick when used orally (about 20 seconds). However, if you are measuring more than one person (such as myself and my wife) then the second reading is much faster, as the thermometer is already close to body temperature, so settles down much quicker!
For both quick and safe measurements, sterilise it in fluid at 37°C between measurements!!!

excellent thermometer
I bought it for my daughter who is a vet student. she said it was excellent as it has a 10 second timing on it to read the temperature. This is particularly useful when dealing with difficult dogs! The other vet students are now buying this therometer as the traditional ones have a 30 second timer! I suggest the manufacturer targets the vet scchools!

Every time we use it we get a different reading
I bought this for general use, but the problem I found was that readings are not that accurate. We use it to take readings from the under-arm area. The first reading does take a bit longer than the other ones, but it is also the lowest. The next reading will be much faster and higher. After about 5 readings we start getting the same value.
I am hoping I never had a fever because most times temperature starts at 35.7 and then goes up until 36.5 or so. Not very reliable.
