CD Description
HYPNAGOGIC STATES contains remixes of tracks off of The Cure's 2008 release, 4:13 DREAM. The remixers generally chose to make the songs more electronic, beat-heavy, and dancier, even if many of the participants, like AFI's Jade Puget and Fall Out Boy's Patrick Stump and Pete Wentz, come from the world of rock. 30 Seconds to Mars (Jared Leto's band) contribute a slightly more stripped down "The Only One", full of silent stretches and instrumental breaks. The EP is a long way from classic Cure, but an interesting detour. In addition, all profits went to benefit the Red Cross.

Trouser wettlingly good5
Quite simply the best record I've heard this year.
And there have been some quite good ones this year but this is in a different league.
Be warned the album will sound pretty flat after listening to these mixes.
Can't pick a favourite, all equally excellent.
Have fallen in love with the Cure again.
