New solo outing for Zombies singer4
Colin Blunstone is a national treasure. He has an impressive history behind him - he was performing alongside The Beatles back in the mid 1960's as lead singer of The Zombies, produced exquisite solo albums in the early 1970's, came back into the charts in the 1980's and has been in demand as a guest vocalist for highly repected producers and composers to put a voice to their work with the likes of Alan Parsons/Eric Woolfson and Mike Batt amongst many.
1995 saw Colin return to the limelight in a small way with his Echo Bridge solo album. Since then a steady resurgence in interest in his solo work and that of The Zombies has seen him return to people's minds. The last few years have seen great things under The Zombies name, re-teaming up with Rod Argent. New albums and spectacular live shows with The Zombies have re-established Colin and Rod to their rightful place - highly respected by their contempories and those younger musicians they have influenced and loved by their fans.
Colin now takes advantage of a natural break in Zombies activities to remind people why he is Britain's best kept (almost) secret when it comes to beautifully crafted songs exquisitely sung. The Ghost of You and Me combines a modern but sensitive approach to selecting and producing more modern "pop" songs for Colin along with lovely songs arranged with string quintet - just the way Colin solo fans associate from 70's days of One Year and Ennismore albums. After all Colin has been a solo artist much longer than he was ever in The Zombies....
The Ghost of You and Me has got it all for Colin solo fans - well written songs (including a number of Colin written songs), modern but sensitive production, strings (and more strings!) but above all THAT VOICE - that utterly beautiful voice. Still, after over forty years of singing, it is a voice that just has to be heard. The Ghost of You and Me is the perfect showcase for it.

Absolutely Stunning!5
I knew that I would like this album because I am a huge fan of Colin Blunstone as well as The Zombies. What I was totally unprepared for was how wonderful this whole album is from start to finish. For one thing, Colin's voice is different from his younger days, and in a good way. It is better than ever and the rich vocal quality comes through on every song.
"The Ghost of You and Me" opens the album, and I understand that it is getting alot of airplay on radio in the UK, well I hope that is true cause it deserves it indeed.
Many of the songs are sung with string quartet just like Colin's first 2 solo albums, "One Year" and Ennismore" and Chris Gunning who oversees the orchestral arrangments was on hand in those days. It is an enjoyable album all the way through, and I think that (so far) my favourite songs are "Follow", "Any Other Way", "Feels Like Rain", and "The Sun Will Rise Again". I could throw in "Beginning/Let's Keep The Curtains Closed Today" as well, and again, even though this song first made it's appearance on "Ennismore", Colin's vocals today make it even better than the original.
My only regret is that I was not in England to catch the solo tour. I hope I hear Colin singing some of these songs at some point. This is a rare treat, not to be missed.

Still Got It 4
The moment you hear the voice on the opening title track you quickly realise that he's still got it and maturity has enhanced his vocal qualities and his timing.
Recently gigging and signed CD's available at the show I was blown away with Colin and his band, very different show to the Zombies and they are out in April, how long will it be before as the last reviewer noted as a National Treasure. OBE I say.
