Fantastic!
This has to be one of Morrissey's finest singles ever. 'Something is Squeezing my Skull' is one of those catchy tracks with a great verses followed by the fantastic chorus and like all Morrissey songs, the lyrics speak the truth.
The track is much faster than 'I'm throwing my Arms Around Paris' and has a similar 'heavy rock' tune to 'All you need is me'
And to top the lead track off, as a b-side you get the wonderful 'This Charming Man' which I'm sure you all know he originally performed with The Smiths. Morrissey's band aren't the Smiths but they still sound fantastic.
This is a top single that old and new fans will enjoy!
How the mighty have fallen...
This is a very poor single. In this song Morrissey goes on about antidepressants. "Don't give me anymore" he keeps repeating. Well, maybe he should get back on Prozac and write some decent songs, cause this one is a stinker. The music just rambles on. The lyrics are not smart or witty, but boring and bland.
Morrissey has lost it. If you don't believe me, just buy his last album "Years of Refusal". You'll see what I mean. Weak and uninspired.
