	Solid State Physics by Neil W. Ashcroft Buy new: £45.67 / Used from: £43.87 I don't own this yet hint. The copy from my library is hopelessly torn but it's a more advanced treatment of SSP. It's good to read in tendem with Kittel's offering.

Had a look through it from my Supervisor's bookshelf and it looks a comprehensive text focusing on the quantum effects exploited in semiconductors.

Pierret Buy new: £85.99 / Used from: £66.81 I don't own this yet hint.I'm told this is the DeFacto American textbook for those in Semiconductor fields and on first view, I agree. For those who like an American-type treatment of the subject.
	Electronic Materials and Devices by David K. Ferry Buy used from: £39.85 I don't own this yet hint. I'm sure you can tell by now I like books to compare approaches then choose what I feel is best. Does the same as Kassap's book but helps in my compare and contrast procs.

	Quantum Physics of Atoms, Molecules, Solids, Nuclei and Particles by Robert Eisberg Buy new: £91.19 / Used from: £44.00 I don't own this yet hint. Well Resnick wrote the DeFacto undergrad text for the study of Physics. This should be the defacto for the study of Quantum concepts.

Rosenberg Buy new: £35.14 / Used from: £10.00 I don't own this yet hint. Helps that its cover is the same as the Kittle book. Similarly, poor printing but great content. Find a new publisher guys!
