Going backwards. Many diehard Buffy fans weren't fans by the time Season 6 concluded. Shame really. It wasn't THAT bad. A bit dubious, patchy and wanna-be 'gritty' and 'dark', but not AWFUL.

Season 5 was heavily rumoured to be the last season (ending spectacularly as it does, it could easily have been.) The story of The Key is mysterious and compelling and Spike's new love is fascinating.

Season 4 was the lightest and funniest season of Buffy. It suffered, however, from the loss of fan-fave Angel and the arrival of his dubious replacement Riley (the single dullest character EVER.)

Season 3 was dark. It dealt with dark things. It had a great main villain and a great bad girl in PVC trousers. It ended with every freaky teenagers school dream. Great stuff.

Ahh, Season 2. We meet Spike and Dru for the first time, Angel goes evil mid-season, Oz joins the Scooby Gang. Lots of drama, a great metaphor, a wonderful two-part finale. Buffy's never been better.

Ok, so Season 1 wasn't a masterpiece, but it had *heaps* of potential. Super creepy episodes like 'The Puppet Show' and weird-outs like 'Nightmares' are testements to where the show was headed. Cool.

The soundtrack to the show (first few seasons.) Some pretty obscure bands make it onto Buffy (the stage at the Bronze being something of a real-life showcase for cool bands.) Great tunes abound.

Everything you ever wanted to know about those fun-filled demons that roam Buffy's world. Lotsa pictures, heaps of info.. 'Dungeons and Dragons' fans might actually like this book a lot too..

The Sunnydale High Yearbook. What a novel idea. Pretend you were among the battling hordes at graduation! Giggle at the scribbled anecdotes.. a cute, fun book.

More exploration of the themes and cultural impact of the show. Very throrough too. A good book if you're looking at the show for Media Studies. Disection of the pop-culture references and background.

Christopher Golden writes many Buffy spinoff novels. This one focuses (in a historical setting) on the only character on the show possibly more popular than the blonde heroine herself. Spike. Not bad.

A novel all about the most sadly-missed character on the show (Seth Green's cute and laconic, guitar-playing, werewolf Oz.) Another novel in the spin-off canon from Chris Golden. Cool..

Got off to a bit of a slow start, but gosh did it pick up around mid-season! I think the phrase you'll hear yourself thinking is 'Buffy who?'
