	The Amber Spyglass (His Dark Materials) by Philip Pullman Buy used from: £0.01 The Amber Spyglass. This book finishes off a philosophical phenomenon- a trilogy which is highly exciting, and more impressively, convincing.
	Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (Book 4) by J.K. Rowling Buy new: £5.58 / Used from: £0.01 By far my favourite Harry Potter novel, exciting from page 1 right through to page 636. And at only £3.99 on Amazon, an absolute bargain.
	Dreamcatcher by Stephen King Buy used from: £0.01 My first Stephen King book, and my favourite so far. Telekinesis; telepathy; alien abductions; weasel-like aliens, what more could you want!
	The Shadow in the North (Point) by Philip Pullman Buy used from: £0.01 My favourite Pullman book, other than the three novels making up His Dark Materials. Excitement, romance, tragedy and death. This novel is beautiful.
	Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (Book 5) [Adult Edition] by J.K. Rowling Buy new: £11.37 / Used from: £0.01 Slightly short of making Goblet of Fire's hugely high standards, this book is still amazing. Rowling conveys emotion better than any author I have yet come across.
	The Hobbit: 70th Anniversary Edition: or There and Back Again by J.R.R. Tolkien Buy new: £11.75 / Used from: £8.00 Illustrative; imaginative and very enjoyable. A great introduction to Middle Earth, and a perfect appetiser for those planning on reading Lord of the Rings.
	The Odyssey (Perennial Classics) by Homer Buy used from: £1.68 Since I read this for a school assignment, i have become a fan of cliassical literature. This is the only book I know that rivals Lord of the Rings when it comes to imagination- a beautiful story.
	Mossflower (Red Fox older fiction) by Brian Jacques Buy used from: £0.01 The stories of Redwall was the first series I read. I began when i was eight, and this one, Mossflower, was by far my favourtite. Heroic mice with emotions and swordskills-fantastic!
	Set in Stone by Robert Goddard Buy new: £5.99 / Used from: £0.01 The first romance novel I ever read, and still my favourite. A tense and moving, but at the same time weird story surrounding a mansion with a hidden past.
