	A History of Warfare by John Keegan Buy used from: £0.51 Keegans generalized approach works very well with the pre-modern stuff, which is fascinating, but is less succesful with recent warfare.
	The Book of War (Modern Library) by Carl Von Clausewitz Buy new: £17.06 / Used from: £3.40 Both the classic texts. Good translation of Clausewitz as well.
	Supreme Command: Soldiers, Statesmen and Leadership in Wartime by Eliot A. Cohen Buy used from: £3.60 Up to the minute examination of civil-military relations. Is war too important to be left to the generals? Also lots of interesting history.
	Das Boot -- Superbit [DVD] [1981] Buy used from: £6.67 The other side's perspective, and the futility of war. Watch with the original German soundtrack, not the dubbed crap. I'll add more to this list as they come to me.
