I cannot sing the praises of this book highly enough. It is exactly what every student should have on their desk at home.

Quite expensive, but comes in handy, especially in the first year when you're trying to get your head around the basic biology of medicine.

Autobiographical book about the brother of a schizophrenic - textbook example, really worth the read!

An EXCELLENT anatomy atlas, especially for those who deal with cadavers in their course and are likely to have dissection staff point at random stringy things and shout "STUDENT, WHAT IS THAT???"
