	Story of B by Daniel Quinn Buy new: £8.03 / Used from: £4.00 More of a fiction book than the others. However, it's still full of eye-opening philosophy and a great read.
	A Language Older Than Words by Derrick Jensen Buy new: £9.99 / Used from: £7.00 An honest and thought-provoking book that both shocks and provides hope through its content. One of my favourite books.
	Man's Search for Meaning by Viktor E. Frankl Buy used from: £1.95 A harrowing account of Frankl's experiences in the holocaust followed by the principles of logotherapy. Asks those questions you want answered - life-affirming in the richest sense.
	Dangerous by Bill Hicks Buy new: £12.98 / Used from: £5.58 The first CD of the best comedian who ever lived. Open your mind and listen to this.
	Relentless by Bill Hicks Buy new: £7.38 / Used from: £4.10 Bill Hicks' 2nd CD.
	Arizona Bay by Bill Hicks Buy new: £7.38 / Used from: £5.93 Bill Hicks' 3rd CD.
	Rant in E-Minor by Bill Hicks Buy new: £8.98 / Used from: £8.48 This was recorded just before Hicks died (aged 32). This is him at his angriest and also his best.
	Bill Hicks - Totally [VHS] [1994] Buy used from: £0.01 A short documentary on Hicks followed by a stand-up performence in London. Funny as hell!
	American Beauty [DVD] [2000] Buy new: £4.48 / Used from: £2.78 You've probably heard about it. I think it's one of the best satires of modern society. Fantastic.
	The Shawshank Redemption [DVD] [1995] Buy used from: £1.34 A film that shows how important hope is in our lives. Inspiring and great in every way.
	Fight Club - Two Disc Set (1999) [DVD] Buy used from: £0.98 The greatest film ever made in my opinion. The best social commentary I've ever seen in a film. Just watch it. It's what all films should be.
	Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk Buy used from: £1.47 The book was made before the film. Well worth a read, as well as anything else by Palahniuk.
	Survivor by Chuck Palahniuk Buy new: £5.49 / Used from: £2.00 Palahniuk's best book in my opinion. Makes a good point about the way religion is exploited and portrayed in the modern society.
	Life After God by Douglas Coupland Buy new: £4.69 / Used from: £0.90 Such emotionally genuine stories in this book, it's amazing. They're also often dark and funny as hell. They speak volumes about human loneliness and isolation.
	Electro-Shock Blues by Eels Buy new: £6.08 / Used from: £1.74 My favourite album. Very sad but at the same time hopeful and with some of the best, yet simple, lyrics ever. Anything by them is great, Daisies of the Galaxy being their most accessible.
	Rage Against the Machine by Rage Against the Machine Buy new: £3.98 / Used from: £1.99 The best metal band that ever existed. Steaming-angry political songs that stir you up inside. The lead singer has left now but they will be remembered forever.
	O.K Computer by Radiohead Buy new: £3.98 / Used from: £0.78 How could I leave without mentioning Ok Computer? Radiohead's magnum opus - an album that will never grow old.
