	Ivanhoe [DVD] [1997] Buy new: £9.98 / Used from: £8.70 One of the best adaptations I have ever seen. Not a bad performance in it.
	Pride And Prejudice [VHS][1980] Buy used from: £4.99 Another good dramatisation. Almost as good as the 1995 version mentioned above. When will it be released on region 2 DVD?
	Persuasion : Complete BBC Adaptation [1995] [DVD] Buy new: £8.88 / Used from: £5.50 A gentle but brilliant adaptation. An understated gem.
	North And South : Complete BBC Series [DVD] Buy new: £5.48 / Used from: £7.50 A gritty and stunning adaptation of one of my favourite novels.
	Persuasion [VHS] [1971] Buy used from: £8.49 Old-fashioned and with some ghastly costumes, but still well worth watching. Especially if it was released on DVD...
	The Tenant Of Wildfell Hall [DVD] [1996] Buy new: £6.98 Love this.
	Frenchman's Creek [VHS] [1998] Buy used from: £12.00 My favourite du Maurier novel on film, albeit set in a different period. Strangely, not avaliable on region 2 DVD!
	Jane Eyre (BBC) [2007] [DVD] [2006] Buy new: £4.98 / Used from: £5.00 Probably my favourite Jane Eyre.
	Sense And Sensibility (Collector's Edition) [1996] [DVD] Buy new: £3.97 / Used from: £2.48
	Sense & Sensibility : Complete BBC Series [2008] [DVD] Buy new: £5.48 / Used from: £4.99 Both this and the Emma Thompson/Ang Lee version are brilliant. I love Hattie Morahan as Elinor.
	Sense And Sensibility (BBC) [1981] [DVD] Buy new: £4.08 / Used from: £1.14 Very creaky looking sets, but once you get used to the old-fashioned production style and slow start this takes off.
	Northanger Abbey [DVD] [1986] Buy new: £6.98 / Used from: £1.59 I have to confess to loving this version. Even the very 80s music. The leads are very good together and are Catherine and Henry to me.
	Northanger Abbey [DVD] [2007] Buy new: £6.08 / Used from: £3.37 A very good effort from ITV.
	La Reine Margot [DVD] [1995] Buy new: £5.78 / Used from: £3.99 I don't think I am supposed to admit that I liked this better than the original Dumas novel, am I? The film does not follow the book too closely.
	Emma [DVD] [1996] Buy used from: £2.75 The best version I have seen of Emma.
	Jane Eyre [VHS] [1997] Buy used from: £10.75 Perhaps my favourite Rochester on film. Sorry for the common refrain on this list - but I wish it was on DVD!
	Cranford : Complete BBC Series [2007] [DVD] Buy new: £5.48 / Used from: £5.00 Brilliantly acted and well scripted.
	Little Women [DVD] [1995] Buy new: £4.08 / Used from: £2.19 Strong performance all round.
	Mansfield Park [DVD] [1983] Buy new: £7.98 / Used from: £2.20 Enjoyable, but some would find it too dated. A thousand times better than the Billie Piper effort.
	Bleak House - BBC (3 Disc Special Edition) [DVD] [2005] Buy new: £8.48 / Used from: £7.02 Makes Dickens more accessible.
	Pride & Prejudice - 2005 [DVD] Buy new: £3.98 / Used from: £2.40 I thought this was going to be awful, but it surprised me.

	Clarissa [DVD] [1991] Buy used from: £28.75 Cutting down the longest novel in the English language was never going to be easy, but this got most of the key scenes in.
