A clear, concise, well organised and easy-to-follow textbook that covers everything you need.

A solid book with nice clinical applications but not as good as Stryer

Covers all the basics but not everything - but you may as well buy this and get the bigger version from the library, I've never needed anything bigger.

A little bit too basic, it really doesn't cover that much and the diagrams suck!

A bit complicated but has most of what you need to be able to recognise; the diagrams are really useful.

Information overload - much too much detail, none of which is ever useful - not at all worth the money!
