Return to form would be an understatment: this album is one of the best of the last decade. Shows an appreciation of all things metal, with many styles, Axl Rose, and a great Roy Z production.

Marred slightly due to over-ambition and a few crap tracks, it's still a phenomenonally impressive display of sheer musicianship and syncronicity.

May be Trent's best work, and the best of the year, no question. Hugely involving, almost hypnotic, totally essential. And only a fiver at the minute, if you're quick and smart.

A disappointment from the boys up North. Hellhammer's drumming falls miles short of Nick Barker's, and some of the refrains are cringeworthingly bad. Still, "The Serpentine Offering", maybe their best

Perfect action platformer, funny, great depth, replay value, impeccable graphics, great story, and a cliffhanger ending. What more could you want?

If it wasn't the best Mario, they wouldn't have released it. Although some tasks will have you screaming, many are a simple joy. Nintendo keep it simple, and keep it perfect. Untouchable.

An odd dystopian tale. The parts not involving Spider-Man are arguably the more interesting. Ignore negative comparisons to DKR: its great stuff.

Some great stuff here: Cy-Gor, The Curse, the Christmas issue, the return to Hell. Artwork even better than before.

He has an impressive CV, but I'd say this is Danny Boyle's best work. Dazzling cinemtography, a great Underworld score, perfect casting and a truly original story. Top marks.

Despite everything, it works perfectly. It's as good as the perfect original films, with Justin Long on top form as the stock sidekick character. And Bruce is just...my God, so good.

To be honest, if you've read the comic, this offers absolutely nothing new. Still, its a good watch once or twice. Not a keeper though.

Finally, Shia LeBouef becomes a household name. Another great cast, breathtaking action, absolutely hilarious. I for one actually prefered the human scenes, and was less concerned about the giant toys
