![]() | Trollslayer (Gotrek & Felix) by William King
Buy used from: £0.81 Little more than an anthology of King's short stories, but still an essential, if slightly inconsistent start to the series.
![]() | Skavenslayer (Gotrek & Felix) by William King
Buy used from: £1.98 Political intrigue, tavern brawls, and some of the best antagonists ever created combine to make my favourite of the series. Skavenslayer is a deep, gripping, and bloody affair. Absolutely peerless.
![]() | Daemonslayer (Gotrek & Felix) by William King
Buy used from: £1.68 The fan's favourite, Daemonslayer is the most epic and grandoise entry in the series. It's scenario and characters are so great that everything after almost seems like a come-down. Unputdownable.
![]() | Dragonslayer (Gotrek & Felix) by William King
Buy used from: £3.95 Another long and epic tale, Dragonslayer is arguably the most crucial to the overall storyline, but it noticeably falls short of all that Daemonslayer achieved. Still a more than worthwhile read.
![]() | Beastslayer (Gotrek & Felix) by William King
Buy used from: £0.49 Of all the epic fantasy sieges (including Gemmell's Legend and even the Two Towers), I rate Beastslayer above all others. Bleak yet heroic, King pulls no punches and it's a resounding, epic tale.
![]() | Vampireslayer (Gotrek & Felix) by William King
Buy used from: £1.65 Far and away the greyest and most dark-hearted of the Slayer novels, Vampireslayer is a gripping, yet largely joyless adventure that more or less ends the series as we know it. Bitter, yet essential.
![]() | Giantslayer (Gotrek & Felix) by William King
Buy used from: £13.48 King's final Slayer novel takes a bizarre turn from the rest, and is too odd to recommend as much as the others. Great ideas, but not as well realised, standing up to the other titles with difficulty.
![]() | Orcslayer (Warhammer: Gotrek and Felix) by Nathan Long
Buy new: £4.84 / Used from: £1.65 The first under new author Nathan Long, Orcslayer, whilst lacking some of King's personality, is a more than worthwhile purchase for those on the fence. Sci-fi undertones aside, it's a solid entry.
![]() | Manslayer (Warhammer: Gotrek and Felix) by Nathan Long
Buy new: £5.01 / Used from: £1.98 A sequal to Skavenslayer, whilst, at the same time, being entirely different from King's masterpiece. Worthy of it's precurser, it's superior to Orcslayer, and sees Long comfortable in his role.
![]() | Elfslayer (Warhammer Novels) by Nathan Long
Buy used from: £24.45 I'll reserve final judgement after its release, but Elfslayer certainly seems to promise another reason why Long should continue in his role.
