	Middlemarch [DVD] [1994] Buy new: £6.78 / Used from: £6.99 A fantastic adaptation. You really feel for Dorothea and Will, and even Lydgate at times.
	Old Kingdom Trilogy Box Set by Garth Nix Buy used from: £23.99 With fantasy now being such a big genre it would be impossible not to recommend these books. Written for children but enjoyable for adults too.
	Night Watch: A Discworld Novel (Discworld Novels) by Terry Pratchett Buy new: £5.59 / Used from: £0.24 The best of the Discworld set to my thinking. Not the best one to start with though, as it's quite late on in the series.
	Bridget Jones's Diary / The Edge Of Reason [DVD] Buy new: £7.88 / Used from: £3.39 Everyone needs a feel-good film at some point and Bridget Jones is perfect. Second one is a little weak but still worth a watch.
	Pride & Prejudice - 2005 [DVD] Buy new: £4.08 / Used from: £0.44 Maybe not as good as the TV adaptation but I love this film. It never fails to cheer.
	American Dad - Season 1 [DVD] [2005] Buy new: £8.98 / Used from: £4.50 Awesomely offensive and very, very funny.
	Amelie (Two Disc Special Edition) [DTS] [DVD] Buy new: £4.98 / Used from: £4.99 This film is absolutely fantastic. So original and quirky.
	Howl's Moving Castle [DVD] [2005] Buy new: £6.48 / Used from: £6.01 A fantastic film based on a fantastic book. Beautiful.
	Fire and Hemlock by Diana Wynne Jones Buy used from: £9.99 Amazing book by the author of Howl's Moving Castle. So confusing yet impossible to put down.
	The Dark Lord of Derkholm (Gollancz S.F.) by Diana Wynne Jones Buy used from: £5.32 Brilliantly funny and very, very clever.
	The Wee Free Men by Terry Pratchett Buy new: £4.89 / Used from: £0.01 The characters in this book are fantastic. The feegles are hilarious and Tiffany is what every small girl wishes she were like.
	Good Omens by Neil Gaiman Buy new: £5.99 / Used from: £0.01 I can't fill this entire list with Pratchett books so I'll say now: Read anything that's he's written. It's fantastic!
	French Relations by Fiona Walker Buy new: £5.49 / Used from: £0.01 One of the best romances I've ever read. Check out Lucy Talk by the same wuthor. Just as fab.
	Tess of the d'Urbervilles: A Pure Woman (Penguin Classics) by Thomas Hardy Buy new: £4.99 / Used from: £0.01 So power and moving. I challenge you not to cry whilst reading this.
	Daggerspell (Deverry) by Katharine Kerr Buy new: £5.99 / Used from: £2.38 This fantasy series is truly amazing. The books are so interwoven and impossible to put down. You'll fall in love with the world of Deverry completely.
	Dead Famous by Ben Elton Buy new: £5.99 / Used from: £0.01 A witty look at reality TV shows like Big Brother and a crime story at the same time. Really funny.
	Spaced - Definitive Collectors' Edition [DVD] Buy new: £8.78 / Used from: £9.99 One of the many outstanding examples of British comedy that I own. Great characters, funny dialogue and a humourous look at the everday.
	Black Books Complete Box Set [DVD] by Black Books Buy new: £7.98 / Used from: £6.03 Dylan Moran, Bill Bailey and Tamsin Greig not to mention endless cameos from people like Simon Pegg and Julian Rhind-Tutt (looking smug on a jeep).
	Green Wing Series 1 [DVD] [2004] Buy new: £12.28 / Used from: £5.97 So funny and so original.
	Coupling: Complete BBC Series 1-4 Box Set (Special Collectors Edition) [2000] [DVD] Buy new: £13.38 / Used from: £13.75 The British Friends. But much, much better. Everyone I force to watch this show loves it. Season 4's not so good, but the first three are ace.
	Final Fantasy VII Platinum Buy used from: £17.98 All of the Final Fantasy games are good (except maybe 9) but 7 is definitely the best. An awesome story time, great graphics and fun game play.
	The Sims 2 (PC DVD) Buy new: £18.99 / Used from: £11.99 It's just so damn addictive!
	The Curse of Monkey Island - Lucas Arts Classic (PC CD) Buy used from: £22.42 Finally! A re-release of one of the most awesome PC games ever. Actually makes you think and figure stuff out unlike many modern games.
