The Lady in the Lake (A Philip Marlowe Novel)The Lady in the Lake (A Philip Marlowe Novel) by Raymond Chandler
Buy new: £5.72 / Used from: £0.01
The weakest of the four Chandler novels I've read. Although Marlowe is more vulnerable and less witty, which adds another dimension to this great character. But Farewell my Lovely is a better book.
Designing for the Social Web (Voices That Matter)Designing for the Social Web (Voices That Matter) by Joshua Porter
Buy new: £14.46 / Used from: £16.57
Very easy read, nicely explained and layed out. I enjoyed it because it was a quick read, but also because it gave me the basic seeds of ideas to take forward.
The Long Tail: Why the Future of Business Is Selling Less of MoreThe Long Tail: Why the Future of Business Is Selling Less of More by Chris Anderson
Buy used from: £1.20
Probably a little drawn out, as the essential concept is explained in about two chapters, the rest of padding. But it's a good read nevertheless, and good explanation of what's happening in the tail.
A Whole New Mind: Why Right-Brainers Will Rule the FutureA Whole New Mind: Why Right-Brainers Will Rule the Future by Daniel H. Pink
Buy new: £5.48 / Used from: £3.36
Fascinating and highly entertaining, I really enjoyed it from start to finish. Just the right length, and snappy across all the material. Also, a great insight into the future of work.
Heart Of Darkness :Heart Of Darkness : by Joseph Conrad
Buy used from: £0.01
A journey into the heart of the Congo, and the depths of the mind. It's pretty grim, but if you've seen Apocolypse Now and enjoyed it, you'll want to read this.
