	Time Regained [2000] [DVD] Buy new: £19.78 / Used from: £14.00 Proust! It takes somebody special to attempt a film like this, it takes more to pull it off.
	There Will Be Blood (2 disc Special Edition) [DVD] [2007] Buy new: £7.88 / Used from: £5.00 Best film in the last 10 years.
	Great Expectations [DVD] [1946] Buy new: £15.08 / Used from: £3.05 My favourite film adaptation of a Dicken's novel.
	The Magnificent Ambersons [DVD] [1942] Buy new: £5.88 / Used from: £4.99 Severely cut by the studio, but still stands up as a great film, from a Booth Tarkington novel.
	Orson Welles' Macbeth [DVD] [1948] Buy new: £12.88 / Used from: £5.00 Orson Welles goes crazy, with Shakespeare on a leash.
	Hamlet [DVD] [1948] Buy used from: £3.42 Olivier makes a daunting play into a very entertaining and touching film.
	The House Of Mirth [DVD] [2000] Buy new: £6.58 Gillian Anderson! Edith Wharton! Terence Davies!
	Letter From An Unknown Woman [DVD] [1948] Buy new: £8.18 I didnt even know it was a book, but its a good excuse to add this amazing film to the list.
	Partie De Campagne [1936] [DVD] Buy new: £11.98 / Used from: £10.48 Maupassant, the great writer, meets Jean Renoir, the best of filmmakers, for 40 minutes of fluidity... and a river.
	The Talented Mr Ripley [DVD] [2000] Buy used from: £4.73 One of the best of Anthony Minghella's adaptations.
	Ugetsu Monogatari / Oyu-Sama [Masters Of Cinema] [1951] [DVD] Buy new: £15.88 Likewise with Letter From An Unk.... i didnt know this was a novel first, but any excuse to include it.
	The Red Shoes - Plus Documentary [DVD] [1948] Buy used from: £6.29 One of my favourite films, taken from a Hans Christian Anderson story.
	David Copperfield [VHS] [1934] Buy used from: £12.48 Another good Dicken's adaptation.
	Frankenstein/Bride Of Frankenstein [DVD] [1931] Buy used from: £2.98 The best, and first (at least most original) Frankenstein film... and its director was from Dudley!
	The Fallen Idol [DVD] Buy new: £4.98 Carol Reed adapts another Grahame Greene story. This ones a lot calmer than The Third Man, and it might be a lesser film, but it does have its moments.
	Double Indemnity [DVD] Buy new: £4.97 / Used from: £4.85 Film Noir at its best.
	The Muppet Christmas Carol [DVD] [1992] Buy new: £5.08 / Used from: £11.99 The most charming Christmas Carol film i've seen, i watch it every year.
	The Hours [DVD] [2003] Buy new: £4.98 / Used from: £3.75 the hours... and there are a lot of them. With three great actresses.
	Wonder Boys [DVD] [2000] Buy used from: £1.39 Such a great film. It makes me calm.
	The Invisible Man [DVD] [1933] Buy new: £4.98 / Used from: £2.20 Claude Rains voice and James Whale's direction make this what it is - amazing.
